Tonight was a mother-daughter flight for Dixie and Cindy.  Weather and illness had postponed us several times.

But this evening was beautiful and warm, with a gentle westerly breeze to carry us across the Platte River.

With a little help from Alan, Sherri, Brad, and Angie, Dixie, Cindy and I were soon ready to take off.

And away we went, into a flawless blue sky.

After seeing the "sights" near Cedar Creek, it was time to pack away the balloon.

Dixie pitched right in as her granddaughters watched.

We gave Cindy one of the cushier jobs.

Let's celebrate!

"The winds have welcomed you with softness; the sun has blessed you with its warm hands..."

Dixie doffed her wig to show us she's not afraid of a champagne shower, cancer, or anything else.
Here's to her triumphant spirit!
